Here are some important rules to know:

  • The ball must never move forward, unless it has been kicked. The ball must always be passed laterally or backward
  • A player may only be tackled if they have possession of the ball
  • A player is offsides if they are in front of the ball
  • The backs must be 5 meters off of the last foot of the scrum (both offensively and deffensively)
